Interview with writer Zeb Wells here, in which Wells says:
"Wolfsbane won’t be playing a large role in New Mutants, as she’s being used (and used incredibly well) by Craig Kyle and Chris Yost in "X-Force." If she ever becomes available we’ll see how she fits into the team, but I’ll admit that I’m in no hurry to see that happen."

As a plot device and that's about it. Sheesh.
Talk about being treated like a red-headed stepchild.
I rewrote this post at least 5 times, trying to remove hostility and disgust from it. But that's how the announcement and his assessment make me feel.
Is there ANYBODY who is enjoying X-Force? Anyone who read the original series, pre-Liefeld, that is?
Are mobsters running Marvel? I just don't get it. To every fan I meet, getting this right seems like a no-brainer.
Original New Mutants, I mean.
I know that having the New Mutants without our favorite red head will be a large letdown but to be perfectly honest I still will follow Rahne no matter what comic she is in. As for her role in "X-Force" I got to honestly admit I kind of like the darker side of whats going on. Only time will tell what will happen and if I continue to enjoy her role on her new team but for now I am enjoying it.
Not me. Already stopped getting X-Force and from the look of things, I won't be getting these either. This is a big reason why the site now focuses more on fan works instead of her goings-on; I don't expect Marvel to ever do Rahne "right" again.
Long-term, that is. Things were getting darn interesting in X-Factor. Why did that have to end?
