Sorry for the lack of posts. I'm sure cool things are happening with Rahne on Peter David's book; I wouldn't know though, it's been a hefty dose of reality around here this year. Death, cancer, and more death. And it ain't over yet.
Meantime, please send any fan art submissions for the Wolfsbane FanArt Free-For-All 2010! The theme is holidays or anti-holidays (any). If you have a painting or sketch or doodle or whatever that is Rahne-related and not rated "R," please send 'em to: rahnefan@comcast.net
My plan is to edit the slideshow (on your right) to reflect fan art!

Speculation Time
The news that Wolfsbane is returning to Peter David's X-Factor is welcome to say the least. The question now is, how to write a mutant that is pregnant? What do you think will happen after the dust clears between her and Ric and (whatever Shatterstar's real name is)? How has Marvel written pregnant characters in the past? Will it carry on for about 3 years? 9 real-time months? What do you think?

New Mutants Forever - Wolfsbane Almost Never
As ever, excerpted from an interview by Newsarama:
"Claremont shares that the main characters throughout the five issues will be Cannonball, Magik, Magma, Sunspot and Warlock."
Five issues, New Mutants circa 1987 pre-Simonson...but Rahne is not a main character.
---
Someone clue me in, is she still pregnant? Is she carrying the mutant messiah or whatever the latest crossover was about? I've not spent a dime on comics for at least a year now. :)

What I'd Give for Just A Little Rahne
Excerpted from Newsarama's interview with Leonard Kirk, the new artist for New Mutants:
Kirk: The appealing thing about this project for me is that I will be drawing most of the characters I enjoyed in the original graphic novel by Claremont and McLeod in the 1980’s.
Nrama: Can you name a few of the characters you'll be drawing and explain what your approach will be for each character?
Kirk: I'll be drawing the regular line up: Cannonball, Mirage, Karma, Magma, Sunspot, Magik, Cypher and Warlock.
Sounds like if Rahne is going to any regular series, it still isn't this one.

Werewolf, Baby!
SO. I don't read the comics these days but, they tell me Rahne is preggers. By Hrimhari. A-yep.
Whatever. Here's some only tangentially related lyrics but, doggone.
I feel my blood boil
I feel my spine coil
My hair is rippin
My mind is trippin
I am a monster
Can i come over?
Some kind of demon
To get you screaming
Werewolf Baby is all she really said
The moon went up and I went out of my head
She get on it
Like she want it
When the sun dies
Night is calling
She get on it
Like she want it
When the sun dies
Night is calling
I am the right one
When the night comes
A lonely hunter
You're falling under
That wicked feeling
Start believing
You are afflicted
By what the fangs did
Werewolf, Baby is she really said
The moon went up and I went out of my head
She get on it
Like she want it
When the sun dies
Night is calling
She get on it
Like she want it
When the sun dies
Night is calling
Even a pure man
Deep in his heart can
Turn to insane
From the wolfsbane
I am a monster
Can I come over?
Some kind of demon
To get you screaming
Werewolf Baby is she really said
the moon went up and I went out of my head
Werewolf Baby!
Brings her to her knees
Man to wolf is what she really needs
She get on it
Like she want it
When the sun dies
Night is calling
She get on it
Like she want it
When the sun dies
Night is calling

Rahne on the Road
Ken's Shot at Twilight
Rahne's Leap of Faith
Ken Roeder: "One thing that especially bothers me in the X-titles is the complete lack of short but fun and frivolous story lines interspersed between the heavy, angst-drenched, blood and guts story lines.
This pic is a kind of ode to the old "New Mutants" weird adventure stories that is sorely lacking nowadays…"

Rahne Swimsuit Edition
Ken Roeder:
"Remember those "Marvel Swimsuit" issues from the nineties? Ever notice how Jean Grey, Storm and especially Rogue dominated the pages? Even that kid with the figure of an ironing board, Jubilee, got better treatment than our favorite Scottish lass (who was relegated to a single appearance and only as a sight gag).
Justice is demanded and this submission goes at least a bit in that direction…"

If you have a request for any fan art or content that has gone missing since moving to Blogger, let me know and I'll put it up.
